There were a total of total 116,031 operations in the airport last year. Of these, 107,898 corresponded to commercial flights (with an increase of 7.7 per cent). 
Of all flights for the year, 35,948 were national flights, which amounted to 15.1 per cent more than the previous year. 
There were 71,950 international operations, which was an increase of 4.4 per cent. Of these flights, 126,671 were regular and 45,613 were not regular. 

The total number of passengers using the airport during the year gone by amounted to 12,046,283 people, which was an increase of 4.1 per cent with respect to 2003. Of these, 2,8758,537 corresponded to national flights, which was 9.8 per cent more than in 2003, and 9,060,553 corresponded to international flights, which was 2.8 per cent more. By nationality, 5,028,074 were British, 2,8758,537 were Spanish, 1,093,422 were German, 477,969 were Irish and 429,513 were Dutch.
